LCS4 - Black 'Boby' Trolley by Joe Colombo for Bieffeplast Italy 1971

Black 'Boby' trolley by Joe Colombo for Bieffeplast, Italy 1970’s.

This “Boby” trolley or portable storage system was designed by Joe Colombo in 1969. A very handy trolley made of ABS plastic. It has many storage options such as the fold-out shelves and several compartments that are removable for cleaning. This is an original and early version from the 1970's, produced by Bieffeplast (Padova, Italy). Joe Colombo’s iconic Boby trolley storage unit is at much at home in an artist’s studio as in a home office.

First released in 1970 and included in the permanent collection of both the MoMA and the “Triennale” in Milan, this brown plastic cart rolls on 4 casters, has 2 drawers, and offers infinite possibilities for storage and organization.

There are two movable drawers.

In very good vintage condition with light wear from use.

Signed on bottom shelf.
