FontanaArte is an Italian design company that specializes in the production of high-quality lighting fixtures, furniture, and home accessories. The company was founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Gio Ponti, one of the most influential Italian architects and designers of the 20th century. Luigi Fontana and Gio Ponti established FontanaArte with the goal of promoting the use of glass in furniture and lighting design. Ponti, who was also the artistic director of the company, played a crucial role in shaping its early identity.
