This Trifoglio floor lamp designed by Sergio Asti for Bilumen is an outstanding example of Italian Space Age lighting from the 1970s. The lamp is defined by its clover-shaped base and three vertical stems in lacquered black metal that rise to support a triple plexiglass diffuser. Its bold geometric structure and soft upward light reflect the futuristic aesthetic that defined the era.

Sculptural design with iconic clover form
The lamp’s design takes its name from the Italian word Trifoglio (“clover”), which is expressed in both the base and diffuser. The three-part white plexiglass shades form a harmonious cluster, diffusing light in a soft and ambient glow. The structural rhythm of the vertical tubes combined with the organic curves of the shades gives the piece a powerful sculptural presence, making it a true statement in any interior.

Sergio Asti and Italian design heritage
Sergio Asti (1926–2021) was a Milanese designer whose career spanned industrial design, furniture, and lighting. Known for his innovative yet functional aesthetic, Asti collaborated with some of Italy’s leading manufacturers.
