Large Davinci Travertine Table Lamp, 1970s

This impressive large table lamp by Davinci was produced in Italy during the 1970s. Crafted from substantial travertine with a contrasting black marble base, the lamp features a tall fluted column form with a strong architectural presence.

Its generous proportions and considerable weight give the piece a particularly sculptural quality, while the combination of warm natural travertine and polished dark marble reflects the sophisticated use of stone found in Italian design of the period.

Sculptural travertine and marble construction

The substantial body is formed from beautifully textured travertine, with vertical fluting emphasizing the height and architectural character of the lamp. The natural pores, tonal variations and veining of the stone contrast elegantly with the polished black marble plinth.

Original Davinci markings

The lamp retains clear Davinci manufacturer's markings, including the distinctive DV monogram to the original fitting and repeated Davinci branding to the underside. These original details confirm the manufacturer and add to the character and collectability of the piece.
