Vintage McGuire Cane and Bamboo Armchairs

A refined pair of armchairs by McGuire Furniture Company, produced in the USA during the 1970s. The chairs combine dark-toned bamboo and rattan frames with woven cane seats, sculptural curved arms and decorative circular motifs incorporated into their open backrests.

McGuire's Signature Rawhide Construction

Each chair is assembled with visible rawhide bindings, a signature element of McGuire furniture that gives the construction both strength and decorative character. The gently curved bamboo framework contrasts beautifully with the lighter woven cane seating, highlighting the natural variations and patina of the materials.
