Set of Three DSC 106 Office chairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli

This set of two DSC 106 chairs was designed by Giancarlo Piretti for the Italian Castelli in 1965. It is one of the best-known models of the brand's chairs and is still an object with an innovative and attractive design. The structure is made of metal, seat and backrest upholstered with high-quality orange leather. 

Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna in 1940. After studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Academy of Bologna, he began working as an interior designer for Anonima Castelli, designing furniture for both home and office use. During his twelve years at Castelli, Piretti obtained numerous industrial patents for his designs, which were dominated by chairs. Piretti's work for Castelli has earned the company an international reputation in the field of furniture design.
